The Good Forty, Inc. creates custom cartography maps. We use watercolors (Winsor & Newton, London), inks, nibs and techniques of the early 1800’s (when much of Georgia’s and Alabama’s early detailed mapping first occurred). We use acid-free archival-quality heavy (300-500#) cotton rag paper produced from a 1490’s constructed French paper mill. We try to capture the history, personality and character of our subjects and animate those into an art piece for all-time. We map local areas we believe unique and worthy of attention. We offer those on a limited-edition basis in a series titled "Once significant Place." We use the best graphic artist we could find in the Atlanta area and prints are on the highest quality, acid-free watercolor paper available.
