What's in the Name
100 Years of Land Stewardship
Nearly a century ago land and forestry professionals gathered to seek bold answers on how to better manage forest properties. They wanted answers to overharvests and neglect. Called The Good Farm Forty it laid the groundwork for generations.
We named our company The Good Forty in honor of that legacy… with a mission to improve property productivity while protecting or enhancing history, wildlife, recreation, real estate value and water quality.
Fast forward to today when we recently hosted a visit by Timber Investment Resources LLC (TIR), an Atlanta-based international forestland investment company. Front and center is our certified Master Timber Harvester Jamie Benefield, whose crew demonstrated proper thinning selection and stocking control. Just like 100 years ago, we gathered in the woods to discuss how our timber thinning operations can contribute to sustainable management that creates value that keeps on growing.
Integrating our roles as licensed real estate agents and registered foresters with our operational where-with-all, we produce hands-on results for clients who want to buy, manage or sell land in West Georgia and East Alabama. Our clear value is we offer advice and knowledge, and the means to produce outcomes, across the land ownership spectrum.
How will the next 100 years unfold, what kind of legacy opportunities will it bring? Let us help you create your own investment that keeps on growing.
